Our Counseling Philosophy
COUNSELING PHILOSOPHY
We all juggle a myriad of relationships, and each one of those relationships impacts us in different ways. Because of this, I have always viewed therapy through a systemic lens. Whenever I meet with a client, I understand that like me, they are people who have interactions with other people: we all have relationships that may need to be strengthened or maintained; we all have relationships that may need to be healed; and, once in a great while, we may be in a relationship that is so bad for us, we need to consider if the relationship is holding us back; if it is, we need to understand why we choose to stay.
Perhaps our most important relationship is the relationship we have with ourselves: we all have something about ourselves that may need to be strengthened or maintained; we all have something about ourselves that may need to be healed; and, we all have something about ourselves that keeps us from being our best; if so, why do we choose to hang on to it?

EXPERIENCE
Here are some of the ways I've worked w/clients in the past: I've helped couples on the verge of breaking up to not breakup, and reinvigorate their commitment to each other; I've helped children overcome bullying; I've helped despondent clients view themselves in a more positive light; I've helped people with PTSD acknowledged their trauma(s), but not let their traumatic experience(s) control them; I've helped single clients navigate the confusing world of dating. That said, whatever you have going on in your life now, I'd like to be able to help you.
